Site Supervisor
The owner's eyes on site.

CFE Finland Oy is looking for Site Supervisors for demanding energy and electrical infrastructure projects.
We act as an independent owner-side technical advisor in substation, overhead line, BESS, renewable energy and data centre electrical infrastructure projects. As a Site Supervisor, you will act as the owner's technical representative on site. You will provide the client with a reliable view of project progress, quality, compliance with designs and any deviations. You will help the client ensure that the right issues are addressed at the right time.
A good Site Supervisor understands the designs, identifies deviations early and can assess what requires immediate action on site and what can be resolved in a controlled manner later.
We are looking for both experienced Site Supervisors and professionals who already have practical site experience and are ready to grow into more demanding owner-side supervision roles.
-
Depending on the project and your experience, you may work as the owner's technical Site Supervisor or take responsibility for a broader site supervision scope.
Your responsibilities may include, for example:
technical supervision of construction and installation works
verifying that the work is carried out in accordance with the designs
monitoring work activities, inspections and quality
reviewing designs and technical solutions from a site execution perspective
identifying, documenting and managing deviations
monitoring contractors' quality assurance activities
monitoring construction progress and completion status
participating in inspections and acceptance procedures
reviewing handover documentation and project records
supporting commissioning activities
warranty inspections and other post-construction project activities
collaborating with the client, Project Manager, designers, contractors and other Site Supervisors.
Safety is part of every Site Supervisor's work. However, in CFE projects, Site Supervisors and HSE specialists work together, so responsibility for safety does not rest on the Site Supervisor alone.
The exact scope of the role will depend on your experience and the project.
-
We are looking for practical, technically skilled professionals with experience from energy, electrical, industrial or infrastructure construction sites.
Your background may include, for example:
substation construction or supervision
overhead line construction
BESS projects
industrial electrical systems
electrical or automation installations
civil and structural works
site management
contracting
commissioning
technical site supervision.
You do not need to have experience in all of these areas.
What matters more is that you know your own technical discipline, can read and interpret designs and understand what good-quality execution looks like in practice.
For more experienced professionals, we expect the ability to take responsibility for your own supervision scope and work independently as the owner's representative on site.
If you have less experience, the role can develop gradually towards more demanding responsibilities with support from experienced Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
We work with Finnish and international clients and contractors, so you will need fluent Finnish and sufficient English skills for the role.

110–400 kV substations or overhead lines
electrical or civil construction site supervision
owner-side site supervision roles

You are part of the project, not just a resource on site
CFE's Site Supervisors work as part of the same project team as Project Managers, designers, HSE specialists and other technical experts.
When you encounter a technical interface or an unclear design on site, you do not have to resolve it alone.
You see beyond the construction site
Site supervision does not begin with the first installation or end with the final site walk.
Depending on the project, you may also participate in design reviews, technical procurement matters, inspections, commissioning, handover and warranty activities.
At the same time, you get to see how decisions made at the engineering stage work in practice.
You work for the owner's objectives
CFE acts as an independent owner-side technical advisor. We do not sell equipment or construction contracts.
As a Site Supervisor, your role is to ensure on behalf of the client that the work is carried out in accordance with the designs, contracts and agreed quality requirements.
Your responsibility can grow with your experience
As an experienced Site Supervisor, you can take responsibility for broader site or supervision scopes and support other Site Supervisors.
If you are earlier in your career, you can gradually take on more responsibility with support from experienced professionals.
You can influence how the work is done
CFE operates in accordance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and we continuously develop our ways of working.
As a Site Supervisor, you can contribute to developing our practices in site supervision, quality assurance, inspections, documentation and project handover. Practical site experience is particularly valuable in this development work.
